My name is Linda. I live in Houston, but my husband and I have a place in The Piney Woods. I am a poet, mostly, but I also take photographs and I make art and jewelry. I want to share the wonders of The Piney Woods and my thoughts on Texas as well as the beautiful places and people that I discover when I travel. I am very fortunate to have five children -- all of them grown up now and living their own lives. I have a marvelous husband... He is also a poet. It's great to have someone in my life who really "gets me"...who really understands why I have so many, many books; why I keep old magazines and then tear them up for collage; why I have to take a picture from every angle of that old withering tombstone. At my age, it's good to take time to ponder the loveliness of the world around me. I want to share it. Although, I still work full time as a college professor, I manage to carve out just a little time to write poetry, to go on photo safaris in the urban jungle or rural Texas, and to write fairy tales. I feel very blessed. Living the creative life has always been my aspiration, and, I have lived one ---- a chaotic, cluttered, glittery, life of discovery and awe. I want to share it with you.
